Ardrossan 1138 Squadron of the Air Training Corps was formed on 5 March 1941.

Ardrossan Air Training Corps were given a cheque for £300 on 1 June 2009 December from sales of the Ardrossan in 2007 DVD. The DVD takes the viewer on a two and a quarter hour journey through Ardrossan to see the town as it was in the year 2007.
