Building site for Asda Store, Harbour Street 1                                                        7 October 2005

The Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald of 7 October 2005 carried a front page story about Asda's plans to build a Store on the ground bordered by Harbour Street and Herald Street.

Preparation of the ground for the Asda Store started on 1 March 2007 and the first steelwork was erected on 10 May 2007. The store was opened by seven year old Murray Scott on 10 September 2007.
