On Easter Sundays, families gather on the Castle Hill to socialise and roll eggs. On Easter Sunday 2017, Ardrossan Castle Heritage Society members had a presence on the Hill to advertise the forthcoming Ardrossan Castle Carnival on 17 June 2017, display a replica sarcophgus lid in the church ruins and open the Castle gate to allow visitors access.
