Parliamentary Office,
Princes Street 1 23
September 2017
This building became the Parliamentary Office of Patricia Gibson, Member of
Parliament, in July 2015. Previously it housed Clyde
Studios from late July 2013. Prior
to that was the Phoenix Art Gallery
which opened with a preview for invited guests on 25 November 2010 and to the
public the following day. It closed in October 2012.
The building was previously Jack Miller's
Hotel and formerly the Clyde Estuary Hotel. It closed in the 1990s and lay derelict
for about twenty years. In May 2009, it was acquired by the Irvine
Bay Regeneration Company for redevelopment. Renovation by McLaughlin
Construction started on 26 October 2009. The process of removing paint to
expose the original stonework started on 3 February 2010. Scaffolding was erected
on 29 March 2010 and removed in late August 2010. The project finished in October
2010.
