Disused Railway Line 1                                                                          25 July 2005

This is the site of part of the Caledonian Railway Line that used to run between Montgomerie Pier Station, Ardrossan and Glasgow. Passengers last travelled on this line in August 1967. The line was formally closed on 6 May 1968 and the track was removed in the early 1970s. The photograph was taken from the bridge on the street with no name. The houses in the centre are in Glasgow Street and the houses at the left are in Parkhouse Road.
